DrifterIQ Client Terms
These terms cover booking an appointment with a business through DrifterIQ, your client account, the texts and emails sent for that business, your saved card, and the live map link. They are between you (the person booking, “you”) and Artemis Technology Solutions LLC, an Arizona limited liability company doing business as DrifterIQ (“DrifterIQ”, “we”). You agree to them by booking, by creating a client account, or by using a booking site DrifterIQ publishes. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Who you are dealing with
- The business is your provider. The barber, groomer, detailer or other business whose booking site you use (“the business”) provides the service, sets its prices, hours and policies, and answers to you for the work. Your appointment is an agreement between you and the business.
- DrifterIQ is the software. We publish the booking site, send the business’s texts and emails, process card payments on the business’s behalf through Stripe, and show you the live map on the day. We are not a party to your appointment and do not provide the service.
- Prices. The price you see before you book is the price for that appointment, including any travel-based adjustment the business shows. Add-ons, products and tips you choose are added at the price shown.
2. Cancellations and no-shows
- The business’s policy applies. Before you book, the booking site shows the business’s cancellation policy: how much notice it asks for, and whether a late cancellation or a no-show costs a fee. By booking, you accept that policy for that appointment.
- A fee is charged only as the policy says, to the card you saved, and only if you were shown the policy before booking. If you cancel late online, you see the fee and confirm it before the cancellation goes through. For a no-show, the business decides whether to charge the fee the policy states.
- Questions about a fee go to the business first. If you think a charge is wrong, tell the business; DrifterIQ can show them what you accepted and when.
- Rescheduling follows the same notice rule as cancelling.
3. Your client account
- Optional. You can book without an account. An account lets you see your appointments, book again, manage your text preferences, your saved cards and addresses, and use a business’s rewards.
- One login, many businesses. Your DrifterIQ client account can book with any business on DrifterIQ. Each business sees only the bookings and details you share with it.
- Your details. Keep your name, mobile number, email and address accurate; the business relies on them to reach you and to find you. You must be 18 or older to create an account or to save a card; a younger person books through a parent or guardian.
- Deleting. You can ask the business to delete your details from its records, or email contact@drifteriq.com to delete your client account. Records of payments and disputes are kept as long as the law and the card networks require.
4. Your saved card and your payments
- Saving a card. When you save a card, you see and accept a short authorization that names the business, what the card may be charged for (your service after a visit, a deposit you agreed to, a late-cancellation or no-show fee under the policy) and how to remove the card. Nothing is charged when you save it. Prepaid and gift cards can’t be saved.
- Removing a card. Any time, from your account page or by asking the business. A removed card is never charged again. A card the business required to book stays until the appointment it secured is over.
- Who charges you. Payments are processed by Stripe on the business’s behalf. The business’s name is on your card statement. DrifterIQ never sees your full card number.
- Receipts and refunds. You get an email receipt for each payment. Refunds come from the business, back to the card you paid with; ask the business. A card processing fee, where a business adds one, is shown as its own line before you pay.
- Cash, Zelle and other ways to pay are between you and the business.
5. Texts and emails
The business sends you texts and emails through DrifterIQ. There are two kinds, each with its own permission:
- Appointment messages: confirmations, reminders, on-my-way and arrival updates, replies to your questions, and a receipt. You get them when you give a mobile number or email for your booking and tick “Text me confirmations & reminders”, or when the business adds you with your permission.
- Offers: occasional deals from that business, only if you separately opt in on the booking site or in your account.
Message frequency varies with your appointments, usually two or three texts per appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that business; if several businesses text you from the same DrifterIQ number, STOP stops them all, and you can turn one business back on from your account. Reply HELP for help, or email contact@drifteriq.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to texts is not a condition of booking. Your mobile number and your opt-in choices are never sold, rented or shared with anyone for their marketing. Texts from the business are sent by DrifterIQ, which is named in the message.
6. The live map link
On the day of your appointment, the business may send you a link that shows where they are on the way to you, with an arrival estimate. The map shows the business’s position only after they have set off and until they arrive, and the link stops working afterwards. The link needs no login; keep it to yourself. The estimate comes from maps and traffic and can be wrong.
7. Your address and your home
You give the business the address where the service happens and any instructions they need to find and reach it. The business comes to your home, vehicle or workplace as an independent business; what happens there is between you and the business.
8. Rewards
Some businesses offer rewards for your visits through DrifterIQ. A reward is the business’s program; DrifterIQ provides the tool. Unless the business tells you otherwise:
- a reward has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money;
- you hold one reward at a time, and it is used on your next booking with that business;
- a reward expires on the date shown with it, and the clock pauses while the business’s booking is paused;
- a reward does not combine with another discount on the same visit;
- the business may change or end its program; a reward you already hold is honored until it expires, unless the business closes its DrifterIQ account.
9. Ratings
After a paid visit you may rate it on your receipt and, if you like, post a review on Google through the link shown to everyone who rates. A rating must be about a visit you had, in your own words, and not paid for by anyone. DrifterIQ removes a rating only when it breaks these rules, never because it is low, and a business may not penalize you for an honest rating or review. Your rating and any comment go to the business; a public review you post on Google follows Google’s rules.
10. DrifterIQ’s responsibility, and disagreements
- About the service you booked: the business is responsible for it. Talk to the business about the work, the price, a refund or a fee.
- About DrifterIQ: we work to keep the booking site, the texts and the map accurate and available, but we provide them as is. To the extent the law allows, DrifterIQ is not liable for the business’s services, for a missed or late appointment, for a message that did not arrive, or for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to $100.
- If you have a disagreement with DrifterIQ, write to contact@drifteriq.com first; we both try to settle it within 30 days. If we cannot, it is decided by one neutral arbitrator under the American Arbitration Association’s Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Arizona or by video, one person at a time and never as a class, except that either of us may use small claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms by emailing us. Arizona law governs these terms.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes, and a significant change is shown on the booking site. Questions: contact@drifteriq.com. DrifterIQ is made by Artemis Technology Solutions LLC, Arizona.
